As part of the Erasmus+ project SocioEcoHoods, students from the University of Liechtenstein worked alongside students from the Bergen School of Architecture and the University of Genoa in two international workshops examining housing conditions in the area surrounding the University of Liechtenstein. The workshops focused on affordable housing, housing insecurity and potential strategies for future development.

How can defective everyday objects be not only repaired but also transformed through design? This question was explored by Master's students at the Liechtenstein School of Architecture in the elective module «Upcycling», which is part of the Built Heritage & Circularity Unit led by Prof. Dr. Daniel Stockhammer. The module was taught by Simon Egger and Pascal Gnädinger.

Master's students from the Liechtenstein School of Architecture took part in the international research project «scAInce» (Scenario Artificial Intelligence) as part of an elective module. Led by the Institute of Transport Planning and Traffic Engineering at TU Darmstadt, the project explored how artificial intelligence can support sustainable urban development and the role that digital participation formats can play in developing sustainable future scenarios.

The Liechtenstein School of Architecture warmly congratulates its Lecturers in Practice, Timothy Allen and Ronan Crippa, on receiving the Student Award at the Prix SIA 2026. The award was presented for the project Gässli 5 in Grabs, realised by the architectural practice Allen + Crippa in collaboration with an interdisciplinary project team. The award ceremony took place on 11 June 2026 at the Théâtre Équilibre in Fribourg.

On 18 June 2026, the team of the Liechtenstein School of Architecture spent a day together in Zurich for a workshop and architectural excursion. The event brought together around 30 colleagues from across the school and provided an opportunity to exchange ideas on current topics at the school, gain new perspectives and visit a selection of architectural projects away from the campus.

LSA Dean Prof. Michael Wagner opened the Summer Exhibition of the Liechtenstein School of Architecture on 27 May 2026 as part of the University of Liechtenstein Summer Party. The opening event provided insights into the work produced during the 2026 summer semester and also served as the occasion for the presentation of several awards.

LSA Senior Lecturer Nina Beck was honoured together with an interdisciplinary team for the project «Die Gute Stube», which received the Special Award at the Austrian National Design Award 2026.

Students of the course «Upcycling and Circular Construction» discussed reversible connection solutions and their potential for circular construction together with Hilti AG.
