The University of Liechtenstein participated in the 2nd Clay Building Symposium «Clay Connects – Tradition Meets Innovation» in Chur with several expert presentations, student projects and an excursion. The symposium brought together professionals from architecture, research and building practice and focused on current questions surrounding construction with clay.

In his lecture at the Liechtenstein School of Architecture, Christian Weyell of Weyell Zipse spoke about the award-winning project «Schulhaus Guggach» in Zurich and discussed how spaces can emerge that continuously evolve through climate, use and community.

In March 2026, a team from the Liechtenstein School of Architecture took part in the international «Design by Making» workshop Crafting Clay. The workshop took place from 14 to 22 March 2026 at the regenerative farm Erve Kiekebosch in Empe (NL) and was coordinated by the Amsterdam Academy of Architecture.
