Campus Parking Regulations

Parking fees apply to all parking spaces at the Main Campus and in the underground garage of the Ebaholz Campus (both located in parking zone 40).

Regular checks are carried out in this regard.

Please observe the signs indicating reserved parking spaces and note that even with an annual, semi-annual, or monthly parking permit, a parking space cannot be guaranteed.

Parking at the main campus is frequently at full capacity. We therefore recommend using public transport, arriving early, or making use of alternative parking facilities near the university.

Please also respect local traffic regulations and no-parking zones, which are regularly monitored by the Vaduz municipal police.

Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (excluding public holidays)

In accordance with a resolution by the Municipal Council of Vaduz, parking on the university campus is subject to charges.

The legal basis is established in Article 63 of the Building Act (Baugesetz, BauG) of the Principality of Liechtenstein, dated 11 December 2008.

All users of a parking space are legally required to pay parking fees for the duration of their stay from Monday to Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Parking fees apply from the very first minute, and the obligation to pay is clearly indicated by on-site signage.

The standard rate across the entire campus area is CHF 1.00 per hour.

A day permit costs CHF 1.50 for students and CHF 2.50 for lecturers and staff. Monthly, semi-annual, and annual permits are also available.

The use of electric vehicle charging stations costs CHF 3.30 per hour and requires a valid parking permit.

On the main campus, parking fees can be paid directly at one of the ticket machines using Swiss franc coins, TWINT, or the Parkingpay and EasyPark apps.

In contrast, there are no ticket machines available in the underground garage at the Ebaholz campus. Payment there is only possible via TWINT or the mentioned apps.

Students, staff, and lecturers can obtain parking permits through the Parkingpay system.

In all cases, it is necessary to register the vehicle licence plate(s) in advance via the university intranet.

Parking enforcement is carried out by Securitas on behalf of the University of Liechtenstein. Anyone unable to present a valid parking permit will be charged a processing fee of CHF 40.00.

The fine is issued via a QR code ticket. Payment can be made using the payment methods offered by Securitas, including Twint, credit card, and payment slip.

Securitas handles all administrative processing, including processing the tickets, monitoring payments, issuing payment reminders, and handling complaints and appeals.

If no payment is received or the required vehicle owner information cannot be determined, the case will be forwarded to the appropriate authorities.

When using the apps, payment can be made by credit card (Parkingpay and EasyPark) or via PayPal (EasyPark).

The parking machines on the campus accept Swiss franc coins only.

The processing fee must also be paid in Swiss francs.

Complaints and appeals must be submitted directly through the channels provided by Securitas.

Securitas will handle the entire case. If the case is forwarded to the relevant authorities, an appeal must be submitted to the relevant authority from that point onward. Appeals to the University of Liechtenstein are not possible.
