Before architecture exists, we are given the beauty of nature and light. It is in this context that I love to build and to explore new visions for architecture. One of these is our innovations at TU Munich into 'micro architecture'. This is essentially a 'teaching method' not a 'style of architecture' which gives our international teams of students and assistants the maximum exposure to nature and architecture. In the lecture I will show a background to 'micro architecture' and show it in its widest range: between mountains, sea and sky. The goal is to build in the least intrusive way, with minimal energy and minimal material but with the highest of ambitions for design quality and beauty.
