About the speaker
Simon Winker graduated in architecture at the Technical University Munich, in French language and literature from the Sorbonne, and city planning from ETH Zurich. He is specialised in the conception, finance, development and delivery of high-quality real property development projects in retail, resdential and hotel markets. He has a keen interest in sustainable practice. Presently the Vice Director for Acquisition and Development at one of Switzerland's largest development consortium, MARAZZI GU AG and Losinger Construction AG, he is both registered architect und urban planner (Switzerland and Germany) by training and expertise. Mr Winker is also a Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) London.Since 2006 he serves as the President of the Alvar Aalto Association in Helsinki for the Swiss Branch. Mr Winker is appointed visting lecturer at the University Hochschule Liechtenstein, teaching in the area of Responsible Property Development, MSc Arch, Urban Sustainability, Climate and Planning Education program (UrbanSCAPE), Prof Droege.
