Goal

The goal of the LIFE Climate Foundation is - as an initiator - to constructively help shape the development and advancement of market-based instruments in the area of climate protection and, in doing so with the motto “for a better life”, contribute to attaining the global climate protection goals established by the Kyoto Protocol as well as the ultimate protection of our environment.

As an economic and financial centre, Liechtenstein offers the best premises for the Foundation with its inclusion in the Swiss and European economic areas. Further advantages are full membership in the United Nations, implementation of the EU Emissions Trading Directive, an innovative industrial sector and an internationally aligned financial centre.

Services

The LIFE Climate Foundation Liechtenstein functions as a central contact point, bringing actively interested investors, project developers and organisations together from home and abroad. For this purpose, the LIFE Climate Foundation Liechtenstein regularly hosts events and presentations. By these means, innovative business opportunities can be developed together in this fast growing market and incentives can be given for their implementation.

The LIFE Climate Foundation Liechtenstein also serves as a knowledge base for all questions encompassing market-based climate protection and emissions trading. The knowledge generated by the Foundation is made accessible to the public, whereby in addition to the financial, work, and knowledge centres of Liechtenstein, the international community can also profit from the Foundation’s activities.
