Lukashausareal Grabs: Ideas for a reactivation

How does an area change where for around 170 years children, adolescents and adults have been educated, cared for, accompanied and maintained, and where people are still being supported today? How can architecture respond to changing needs, laws (UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities), a changing landscape and a contemporary residential and settlement structure? How can nature, the landscape and perhaps even the trees (some of which are many years old) be taken into account? Should something change? A little, a bit, a lot or everything?
