Lichtensteig – Mini.City in Toggenburg
←
So far, the urban development of the municipality of Lichtensteig has mainly taken place on greenfield sites at the outskirts of town. However, the demand for housing has been relatively low in recent years. With the revision of the spatial planning law, the focus is increasingly shifting towards development within the existing settlement area. This requires a more active role of the municipality in inner development in the future. In the spirit of a holistic approach, the initial question arose as to how the locality should be developed in the future. How can spatial development be sensibly managed in peripheral locations with low demand and how can high-quality spatial, urban and sustainable qualities be created in the process?
