In the Hilti Business Process Management (BPM) Seminar, students of the Institute of Information Systems’ Master Program developed solutions for global and agile BPM.
Throughout the semester, four student teams worked on real-world challenges in the management of corporate business processes. The groups’ tasks were to identify how to balance global and local process management requirements and how to balance agility and standardization in BPM. In developing solutions to these challenges, the students were supported by Dr. Ralf Diekmann and Dr. Susanne Gruttmann from Hilti and Prof. Dr. Jan vom Brocke, Dr. Theresa Schmiedel, and Roope Jaakonmäki from the University of Liechtenstein.
The final seminar presentation was held on December 03, 2015 in the Innovation Center at Hilti Corporate Headquarters in Schaan, Liechtenstein. After the presentations, both the seminar committee, consisting of representatives from Hilti and the University of Liechtenstein, and the students voted which group presented the best solution to address the given challenges. Congratulations to all students for a great performance and especially to the team with the best-rated solution: Nishant Ekatpure, Anja Gysau, Michal Remlein, and Bastian Wurm.
