This Design Seminar investigated different schools of thought within the realm of the architectural discipline and its relation to the public. London as an exceptional metropolitan city offered us a rich tableau of multiple forms for mediating architecture and different methods of mediating architectural knowledge. During our trip, we visited schools of architecture such as the Architectural Association School of Architecture, one of our Design Studio partners, the Bartlett School of Architecture at the University College London, the University of Greenwich, the Royal College of Art as well as the recently founded London School of Architecture. Our discourses and interviews with professors from these schools addressed the different elements that form an architectural school (of thought), and providing our students with a great platform to design their own proposal.
