The exhibition for the renowned Vorarlberger Holzbaupreis (timber construction prize), also including projects from Liechtenstein, will be housed in the foyer of the University of Liechtenstein for one month. The vernissage will be held on 7 December 2011.
The state of Vorarlberg – one of Europe’s strongholds in timber construction – has been attracting considerable international attention for a long time, and is visited by approximately 30,000 eager architecture tourists every year. This year, the projects submitted for the annual timber construction prize once again illustrate the high standards of the regional timber construction companies, architects and developers. The jury, consisting of Dominique Gauzin-Müller, Peter Plattner and Daniel Ladner, assessed 150 submissions, of which 6 projects are directly related to Liechtenstein. A travelling exhibition now displays the details of all the submissions as well as an overview of current timber construction projects in the region. The exhibition’s vernissage will be held in the foyer of the University of Liechtenstein on Wednesday, 7 December 2011, at 6 p.m. The exhibition runs until 5 January 2012. Entry is free. Further information is available at www.uni.li, under “Architecture and Planning”.
