Best-practice examples and specialist exhibition at Logistics Solution Day 2013

For the first time, the Logistics Solution Day 2013 is being carried out by the Verein Netzwerk Logistik (A + CH) in collaboration with the Affiliated Institute SME Centre of the University of Liechtenstein. On 23 May 2013, the programme will focus on the topic of “Logistics planning”.

Planning means making the uncertainties of the future more tangible and taking active control of the future of one’s own company. Great efforts have been undertaken in this area over recent years by businesses, relevant IT providers and scientists, not least because of the volatility of the markets. The Logistics Solution Day 2013, taking place in the Würth Haus in Rorschach on Thursday, 23 May 2013, will take up the topic of planning as a key controlling element for business success. Through practical examples and in an exchange of experiences with experts, participants can learn about the requirements and opportunities of planning, as well as its limitations.

Lectures with best-practice examples

As part of the Logistics Solution Day 2013 , logistics solution providers, together with the users of their respective services, will present practical examples of successful logistics planning. For example, the solution provided by SAP Österreich GmbH to the Vorarlberg-based company Tridonic GmbH & Co KG for integrated sales and network planning will be presented. And Swisscom IT Services Ltd will give insights into how it was able to implement a logistical solution to provide the production planning department at Hoval Aktiengesellschaft with short reaction times and high transparency. On the day, the participants can choose between eight practice-orientated presentations on topics such as distribution logistics, forecasting and demand planning.

In-depth contacts at the specialist exhibition

Each of the topics will be explored in greater depth at each exhibitor’s stand following their presentation. As part of the specialist exhibition, twenty-one companies from Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Austria and Germany – businesses such as Hirschmann Automotive GmbH, Schott AG and Geberit Produktions AG – will be in attendance to present their expertise and practical experiences.

A collaboration between the Verein Netzwerk Logistik (A + CH) and Würth AG,  BMC Establishment and the Affiliated Institute SME Centre of the University of Liechtenstein.
