Professor Jan vom Brocke has won the Outstanding Reviewer Award of the Business and Information Systems Engineering journal (BISE). The prize of the long-established journal – which can look back on over 50 years of history, making it one of the most prestigious periodicals in the field of business information systems – is awarded for outstanding performance as an expert commentator.

The Editor in Chief, Professor Martin Bichler of the Technical University of Munich (TUM), handed over the prize to the University of Liechtenstein professor at the annual meeting of the Business Information Systems Scientific Committee in Osnabrück. ‘With his exceptional commitment to our journal, backed up by his professional and methodological expertise, Professor vom Brocke has made a crucial contribution to ensuring the consistently high quality of the articles appearing in our periodical,’ said Professor Bichler.

Jan vom Brocke had already received a prize for research last year, the Emerald Literati Network 2014 Award for Excellence, as well as a teaching prize, the AIS Award for Innovation in Teaching of the Association for Information Systems (AIS). He is the holder of the Hilti Chair of Business Process Management, Director of the Institute for Business Information Systems and Pro-Rector for Research and Knowledge Transfer at the University of Liechtenstein.
