The Architectural Research Centers Consortium, Inc. (ARCC) is an international consortium of architectural research centers dedicated to building a research culture and supporting infrastructure in architecture and related design disciplines. Since its founding as a non-profit organization in 1976, ARCC has stood for a shared commitment to improving the physical environment and quality of life.
The ARCC Dissertation Prize is awarded each year for the best dissertation by a doctoral student at a member university. The prize is intended to honour significant new research in the fields of architecture and environmental design and the achievement of a young scientist.
Clarissa Rhomberg's dissertation entitled "Fair Building A Discourse and Action Analysis of Social Responsibility in the Construction Process and Its Challenges for International Practicing Architects and Their Firms" was selected for this award "based on the quality of research, the potential impact of research in this field, and the strength of writing and presentation of research," according to the congratulatory letter from the Architectural Research Centers Consortium.
