On Saturday, 17 March 2012, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., the University of Liechtenstein campus will open to the public and provide information about the opportunities on offer in connection with Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes and the continuing education programme.
Once a year, the University of Liechtenstein opens its doors to provide an in-depth insight into student life in the Principality of Liechtenstein. The Information Day is an ideal platform for high-school graduates, people interested in continuing education and students from other universities and colleges to obtain an overview of the different programmes and continuing education possibilities and to experience the atmosphere on the campus first-hand. In addition to information about Bachelor’s degree programmes in Business Administration and in Architecture and Planning, internationally accredited Master’s degree programmes in Entrepreneurship, Banking and Financial Management, IT and Business Process Management as well as Architecture are also presented, as are the two doctoral degree programmes in Business Economics and Architecture and Planning.
First-hand information
A series of trial lectures on topics ranging from globalization to social media and on to the government debt crisis in Europe will provide prospective students with an insight into day-to-day student life, while personal conversations with professors and lecturers will enable candidates to ask individual questions about studying and degree programmes, and direct contact with students will offer visitors the chance to pick up valuable feedback and tips from daily campus life. At the “Vitaminbar”, visitors can talk to members of the student council, and the “Spinnerei” student office will provide information about the atmosphere on campus, the sports programme and social events in Liechtenstein. Guided tours through the campus will be provided by students throughout the day, and the International Office will present mobility programmes and international partner universities as a springboard into the wider world.
A focus on continuing education
The Information Day is also suitable for those who are interested in extending their professional knowledge or are looking for a new professional challenge. Continuing education programmes are offered in the specialist areas belonging to the university’s core areas of expertise: financial services, entrepreneurship, information systems and architecture and planning.
Photo competition
The University of Liechtenstein Facebook page will soon be launching a photo competition entitled “My studies with prospects” to mark the occasion of the Information Day. Just post a photo on the topic at www.facebook.com/uni.li, collect your Likes and win a Spotify Premium subscription.
