Balancing career, family and continuing education is becoming a growing challenge for many employees at all organizational levels. With a new and flexible continuing education concept in the area of Banking and Finance, the University of Liechtenstein is opening up an attractive alternative to existing programmes.
Sustained growth is expected to continue in order to meet the demand for high-quality service provision in the area of Banking and Finance. Providers are currently facing increased competition in terms of quality and innovation. Thanks to the new concept of a module-based continuing education programme with a variety of options (optional modules), graduates from the University of Liechtenstein are able to actively make use of market opportunities, put together made-to-measure product bundles and establish and maintain high-quality customer relationships.
Made-to-measure continuing education
In this context, the Chair in Business Administration, Banking and Financial Management as well as the Chair in Finance are providing an appropriate variety of mutually coordinated continuing education options (individual modules, Certificate and Diploma of Advanced Studies), in order to develop and keep up to date skills in the area of Banking and Finance as part of two Certificate of Advanced Studies programmes. The follow-on Diploma of Advanced Studies in Banking and Finance is a useful complement to these programmes, and provides focused preparation for managerial positions in the financial services sector. The Diploma programme also serves to prepare candidates for the possible resumption of their continuing education in the context of one of the Executive Master’s programmes.
A flexible modular structure
In order to be able to provide this type of targeted and needs-orientated continuing education, it will be possible from April 2013 onwards to also attend all modules individually, i.e. irrespective of the completion of an entire programme. This makes it possible for the modules to later be credited when wishing to complete one of the programmes offered.
