The Hilti-Fellowship-Programm offers a great opportunity to combine studies at the University of Liechtenstein with practice in exciting projects at Hilti Inc. In the winter semester, four fellows take part in this challenging program.
The Hilti-Fellowship-Program was founded by Hilti Inc. and the Institute of Business Information Systems of the University of Liechtenstein. It enables highly motivated and committed students a combination of practical experience and studies at the University of Liechtenstein. The Hilti-Fellowship-Program is one of few programs in Europe, which offers such an opportunity. It is a combination of several months of internship at Hilti Inc. and academic training at the University of Liechtenstein. The program is part of the master program in Business Process Engineering (MSc BPE) and was jointly developed by Hilti Inc. and Prof Dr Jan vom Brocke, University of Liechtenstein.
The excellent master students come from all around the world to Liechtenstein. The far majority is recruited from the international research network of the Institute of Business Information Systems. "This is a great opportunity to bring top talents into the country, so that also the regional economy has a benefit", says Professor vom Brocke about the background of the initiative. There are already some employees working in challenging positions in Liechtenstein, which were attracted through the program.
For the students the program is a honor and a challenge at the same time. They go through a competitive international selection process, in which their academic and professional profile is assessed. After their selection, the are for one semester part of an international project team at Hilti Inc. and attend at the same time seminars in the popular master program "Business Process Engineering" of the Institute of Business Information Systems of the University of Liechtenstein.
In this semester four students have been included in the Hilti Fellowship Program. Ilkka Ilveskoski (Finland), Marina Maschler (Austria), Evaldas Naudzius (Lithuania) and Marc Marheineke (Germany).
Marina Maschler has become aware of the Hilti Fellowship Program through her previous intership at Hilti Inc. "I really like the program. There are a variety of tasks and I can combine work with study. I really recommend it to anyone to apply for this program", says Marina Maschler, master student in the master program BPE.
