In the winter semester of 2017/18, students of the University of Liechtenstein worked out spatial development scenarios for the town of Lichtensteig and thus contributed to this success.
Based on this, the municipality elaborated a spatial development strategy for 2050 in cooperation with the then guest lecturer Michael Wagner, which came into force in 2021. Since January 2023, Michael Wagner has been Professor of Architecture and Urban Planning at the University of Liechtenstein.
