Celebratory prize-giving ceremony by the Liechtenstein Bankers Association: On 1 December, two graduates from the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes in the area of banking and finance at the University of Liechtenstein will be honoured with the Banking Award 2011.
In 2011, the Liechtenstein Bankers Association and the Institute for Financial Services of the University of Liechtenstein will once again invite interested parties to the prize-giving ceremony for the Banking Award Liechtenstein. The two prizewinners, Vincenzo Devito, from the Master’s degree programme in Banking and Financial Management, and Heiko Hehle, from the Bachelor’s degree programme in Business Administration with the focus area International Financial Services, were chosen for the coveted award for their excellent contributions to the field of science in their thesis projects. The prize-giving ceremony will be held in the auditorium at the University of Liechtenstein at 6 p.m.
Keynote speech on the future of financial systems
Simon Tribelhorn (lic. iur. HSG), Director of the Liechtenstein Bankers Association, will present the Banking Award Liechtenstein 2011 to the two prizewinners. The laudatory speech for the prize from the Bachelor’s degree programme will be given by Professor Michael Hanke, who holds the Chair in Finance at the Institute for Financial Services, while Professor Marco Menichetti, who holds the Chair in Business Administration, Banking and Financial Management, will give the speech for the prize from the Master’s degree programme. This year, the keynote speech will be given by Professor Hans-Peter Burghof, who holds the Chair of Banking and Financial Services at the University of Hohenheim in Stuttgart. In his speech, he will talk about the efficiency and stability of financial systems, as well as the lessons that can be learnt from the crisis. After the event, a drinks reception will be held, where there will be ample opportunities to exchange thoughts and ideas.
