Description
This semester, Perception for Architects 2 is entitled "The moving image of the city". During 24 lectures, cinematic experiences of cities are brought into the context of the architectural theory of the 20th Century. We will watch, analyse and debate film extracts to understand their relevance to key essays and manifestoes, highlighting their influence on how we perceive architecture and cities such as Manhattan, Berlin, Rome and Paris amongst others.
The course offers students the opportunity to explore their own work produced in the Design Studio through an alternative mode of visual representation: motion.
