10 years of new foundation law: inventory and perspectives

This year's anniversary conference on the 10th anniversary of the new Liechtenstein foundation law will deal with the legal development to date on the one hand and on the other hand with the perspectives and challenges for the Liechtenstein foundation.

After the introductory welcome by the Princely Council Hans Brunhart, President of the VLGST, the Princely Court and the Supervisory Authority for Foundations (STIFA) will report on current developments in foundation law.

In the second part of the morning program, the speakers will shed light on the Liechtenstein foundation from an international perspective. They will also examine whether further reforms are necessary so that the Liechtenstein foundation can meet current challenges in order to remain a successful European model.

After the buffet and network lunch, the speakers will discuss current regulatory trends at European level, which also affect foundations in Liechtenstein due to its EEA membership. The subsequent presentations will address the questions of how charitable foundations can strengthen their legitimacy and what a representation of their interests at the European level could mean for them.

The last two thematic blocks focus in particular on the beneficiaries as a success factor of Liechtenstein foundation governance and on the international potential of the Liechtenstein foundation, such as in the area of crypto.

Question rounds follow the presentations, during which the participants can address their questions to the speakers.
