Content
The demand for self-determination is becoming ever greater in society, especially for the ageing or those suffering from a severe illness. This fact is now widely accepted by legislatures, both abroad and in Liechtenstein. In this context, the use of advance directives plays a pivotal role. The Liechtenstein legislature has finished drafting a bill to introduce legally enforceable advance directives. Such advance directives will be registered centrally and will thus secure legal certainty for the ageing or those suffering from a severe illness with regard to self-determination. At our Lunch & Learn, Prof. Ganner will address the current legal situation in Austria and provide an insight into the Liechtenstein draft bill. This will provide jurists in Liechtenstein with the knowledge required to provide competent advice in everyday situations concerning the issue of advance directives.

Lawyers, trustees, employees of banks, insurance companies and financial service providers, as well as any people interested in specifically gaining an understanding of diverse legal issues.
