Beschreibung
The course starts with an exam in the first session.
Exam subjects are available in Moodle.
The course focuses on conceptual principles, implementation and operations of Business Intelligence solutions, based on SAP NetWeaver BW, SAP BusinessObjects and SAP HANA. The main learning outcomes are:

Kompetenzen
- describe different concept of Data Warehousing and In-Memory columns
- give examples of practical application
- apply knowledge in implementing solutions based on SAP applications
- compare different solutions
- relate different concepts to develop an individual solution
- plan their case study / project
- summarize the contents of the case study they are provided with.
- discuss the case study in the light of existing models and theories.
- solve different assignments in the case study with the help of different methods.
- compare the as-is situation described in the case study and identify possible solutions for improvement.
- develop new strategies for a successful implementation of a business intelligence solution for the case study and
- do the conceptional breakdown of the case study /project with a blue print
Lehrmethoden
The module integrates theoretical knowledge and practical skills based on an interactive lecture that includes teaching cases.
The e-learning platform Moodle will be used throughout the course for the dissemination of course material and discussions.
Voraussetzungen (inhaltlich)
The students are familiar with the concepts of ERP systems and the SAP ERP/ECC solution as discussed in the first sessions of the module "Enterprise Systems".

Prüfungsmodalitäten
- Please check examination details. Attendance is mandatory in this course.
- Evaluation of exams should take no longer than six weeks.
- The written exam is split up in an entry exam (30 points) and a final exam (60 points). Overall a minimum of 45 points must be achieved to pass the written exam part.
