Beschreibung
The course covers basic supply chain management models and methods. Students learn how to solve optimization problems related to the provision of products and services and the flow of goods.
Ziele
Students learn about the fundamentals of supply chain management and acquire knowledge and skills in the areas of demand forecasting, process flow analysis, service process management, location planning, production planning, and scheduling, using methods like linear programming, dynamic programming, regression analysis, and exponential smoothing, amongst others. They will further learn to use state-of-the-art algorithms and heuristics, for instance, Silver-Meal and Branch-and-Bound. A business game is used to illustrate coordination problems along the supply chain.
