The Liechtenstein Workshop of Sustainable Finance 2022 took place as a hybrid conference at University of Liechtenstein on Thursday, 22 September 2022.
From the numerous paper submissions, the ten best papers were selected according to scientific and practical criteria. The authors of the presented papers came from Universities in Switzerland, Germany, France, Belgium and Canada.
The winners of this year's Liechtenstein Workshop of Sustainable Finance were announced after the paper presentations.
The Best Paper Award 2022, represented by Bernd Hartmann, Head of CIO Office, VP-Bank AG, Vaduz, was won by the paper "Low-carbon mutual funds" by Stefano Ramelli, University of St. Gallen, Marco Ceccarelli, University of Maastricht and Alexander F. Wagner, University of Zurich.
The Impact Award 2022, represented by Lic. iur. HSG Simon Tribelhorn, Managing Director of Life Climate Foundation Liechtenstein, Vaduz, was won by the paper "Do investors consider greenhouse gas emissions in their equity risk assessments?" by Alix Auzepy, Christina Bannier, Yannik Bofinger and Björn Rock, Justus-Liebig-University Giessen.
The Climate Finance Award 2022, represented by Christoph Böckle, Board Member of Liechtenstein Life Assurance AG and Group CEO of the prosperity company AG, Ruggell, was won by the paper «Shifting the Trillions – The Impact of Green Fund Flows on Stock Prices» by Stefan Jacob, Martin Rohleder, Marco Wilkens and Jonas Zink, University of Augsburg.
