The students of today are the employees of tomorrow. Supporting well-educated junior staff and young talents is therefore also an investment by companies in the future. “As a long-term oriented employer, it is of course important to us that we support top talents as they pursue their education”, says Gustav Stendahl, Head Group Human Resources at LGT. “The best young talents often receive highly attractive job offers from all over the world, which is why we have to try to convince young adults of the advantages of Liechtenstein as a location while they are still pursuing their studies.” With the LGT University Scholarship, LGT will in the future be granting two scholarships amounting to the cost of the annual tuition fees to two students in the Master’s degree program in Finance at the University of Liechtenstein.
For LGT, the Master’s degree program in Finance (MSc) at the University of Liechtenstein is the ideal environment in which to support students. As a private banking and asset management group, the company is constantly in search of highly-qualified employees with knowledge and experience in this field. The Master's program focuses on asset, wealth, risk and international financial management, and is attended by about 35 students annually from various countries of origin.
“In our degree program, we teach students to become outstanding specialist employees for the finance and banking sector”, says Prof. Dr. Marco J. Menichetti, Academic Director for the program and Chair of Business Administration, Banking and Financial Management at the Institute for Financial Services. “We attach great importance to an academically demanding education, practical relevance, the development of leadership skills, and to individual support for students. We are very pleased about LGT’s commitment. The LGT University Scholarship makes our Master's program even more attractive.”
