Learning Outcomes

After completion of the module, the students are acquainted with the distinct features and the concepts of the banking business in dealing with private as well as commercial customers. Additionally, they master special marketing strategies for banks and understand the special aspects of product management in banks.
Furthermore, they are able to apply a range of current techniques and skills in order to solve problems in practice (e.g.: classification of a customer according to the CRM model). They are also able to critically scrutinise concepts and methods and, according to the situation, to choose the appropriate procedure for solving practical problems.

Admission Requirements

The module Private and Corporate Banking links to the module Management of Financial Institutions and to the module Corporate Finance and Corporate Valuation, thereby making knowledge of the contents of these two modules a pre-requisite.
Successful completion of the module "Business English Communication" (semester 3) and Business English Certificate II (BEC Vantage).

Prerequisities

The following conditions need to be met prior to registering for the module exam:

  • successful completion of all first year full-time programme modules

Additionallly:
For students who started their studies in 2008:
  • succesful completion of the module "Communication in English for Business"
or, alternatively,
  • BEC II certificate

For students starting their studies in 2009:
  • succesful completion of the module "Communication in English for Business"

Exam Modalities

At the end of the semester there is a 90-minute written exam.

Es müssen nicht alle LVs verpflichtend positiv absolviert werden.
