As part of the 2011 series of events organized by the Liechtenstein-Journal, on 4 July 2011, Professor Martin Wenz gave a speech on tax policy in Liechtenstein. In his presentation, he expounded on national tax law and international tax cooperation. In particular, Professor Martin Wenz explained the challenges for Liechtenstein as a tax location and the taxation of individuals and legal entities according to the old and new tax law. To conclude, he gave an overview of future developments in national and international tax policy. The topics presented were then further discussed by the panel. In addition to Professor Martin Wenz, participants were able to discuss the topics with Dr Irene Salvi, Head of the International Department at the Liechtenstein Tax Administration, and Mag. Thomas Hosp, LL.M., tax expert.

The event was initiated and organized by the lawyer Jürgen Wagner, LL.M., Editor-in-Chief of the Liechtenstein-Journal. This was the third event in the series. The previous presentations and discussion events dealt with the subjects: “Recognition and enforcement of foreign judgements in Liechtenstein” and “The relationship of the trustee to the settlor and to the beneficiaries in the Liechtenstein trust”.
