In the module Topics in IS Research, students develop an exposé for their master’s thesis.
Kompetenzen

> understand a contemporary, relevant topic in Information Systems (IS) related research
> explain the academic and practical relevance of the topic - review the literature on a specific IS-related topic
- develop the structure of an exposé
- formulate research questions
- identify suitable methods for seeking answers to research questions
- formulate a research design using those methods
- write an exposè
Lehrmethoden
The module consists of a seminar where students learn how to write a master’s thesis exposé. Students receive guidance as to how to translate their research ideas or interests into well-formulated research questions of theoretical and practical relevance in the field of IS.
The e-learning platform Moodle will be used throughout the course for the dissemination of course material and discussions.
