For various reasons, the Liechtenstein legal system is undergoing significant changes. Complete and profound revisions of traditional legislation have become a frequent occurrence. In the scope of the Lunch & Learn event, lawyers, trustees, bank and insurance staff as well as financial services providers can discuss the consequences of the legal reforms within a short time, over lunch, and will receive relevant information in order to efficiently and correctly implement the new findings in their everyday professional lives. The practical seminar and lunch will be held at the University of Liechtenstein on Monday, 12 November 2012, from 12.15 p.m. to 1.45 p.m. Please register online at www.uni.li/lunchlearn by 29 October 2012.
Focusing on inheritance contracts
The reform in inheritance law was adopted at the Landtag meeting on 20 June 2012. In addition to adjustments in line with the Austrian principle of adoption, the inheritance rights of spouses and registered partners and the inheritance contract were newly defined and expanded. Inheritance contracts can now be set up by anyone, not just spouses or registered partners. Therefore, the Lunch & Learn speech delivered by Mag. iur. Sabine Mohr-Egger (LL. M.) from the law office Dr. Dr. Batliner & Dr. Gasser in Vaduz will focus on inheritance rights of spouses and inheritance contracts.
The Lunch & Learn practical seminars are supported by the Liechtenstein Chamber of Lawyers.
